g'day all
i know this is quite a tired subject, but i have done a search and found some but not all of the info i was looking for
i'm interested to know about the 4a-gze into AE82\AE92...
so if anyones got any sites or 'walk-throughs' that'd be great
is either one of the corlla easier to do this conversion to?
i'm looking to do this project cheaply for a nice run-about car but still enjoy boost ... whats the approximate cost, considering i can do all of the work myself?
cheers

Probably the easiest bet is to buy an AE92, and also an AE92 4AGZE front cut, the rest should be FAIRLY easy

buy a car that is efi in the first place
then u dont have to worry bout changin tanks and adding the wiring for the efi
the bonnet wont shut due to the intercooler
what gbox u want to run? this will determine clutch, hubs,cv shafts
some gboxs need mopunts made or modified mainly the lsd ones
then u have problems with shifter not selecting 3rd gear properly stick hits front side of shifter base
u might have probs with the power steering new or modify the lines
radiator hoses etc 4agze rad is taller than ae82 or 92
these are just things ive encountered over the yrs
sorry i dont know what models do what
i just fixed the prob when i got to it

using an ae92 GTZ frontcut and throwing it into an Australian AE92 is VERY EASY... I did a swap into a carby corolla, I swapped in the tank and lines from an efi rolla...
Check my site for details: http://www.rollamods.com
from an ae92 frontcut you can bolt EVERYTHING accross to the Aus ae92, suspension, struts, brakes, steering, crossmember, aircon, shifter, cables, brake lines, brake master cyl, clutch master cyl, radiator, washer bottle, etc etc
