carby tech - float level Wed, 09 July 2003 23:38 Go to next message
hey guys,

after some answers on carbys, my 3t-c has a solex carburetter. now what the deal with the float level? when she's off it's under dot on the glass and when she's going it under the dot on the glass? is this permittable? as the handbook for my motor states it should be between the top and bottm of the dot. shoud it be adjusted. what this mean? running lean?

cheers,

Alex

?????
i think that it means that the level is correct(when running or just stopped) when it is right at the dot & neither above it or below it.
if your's is below the dot IT MAY be running slightly lean.

don't look at it too long after you shut down, as they all will leak thru the needle & seat from the fuel pumps residual pressure, and raise the level slightly.
