I'm thinking of buying a mate's damaged corolla. Only $500 for a 87 Corolla SX HATCH.

Has front damage. The front left quarter of the car is smashed back in abit. The front left quarter panel is badly smashed in.. .the front bar is half gone... the engine bay has been bent back in a bit.. it needs a new bonnet...there is no engine damage to be seen. The car still runs.
still has 3 months rego. other than the crash damage at the front seems to be in ok condition. Needs a tidy up but thats ok.

it has a new heavy duty clutch. He bought it for $450 or so he says.

You guys reckon i should buy it? ]

how much do you guys reckon it would cost to fix?
he said he got quoted $1200 for it.

this is not the important factor u should be thinking about, engine parts are replacable..

what u should be looking for is chassis damage..

get someone qualified to inspect the vehicle, they will tell you if its worth buying or not.
