taking gear knob off

Hey guys,
I just purchased a new momo gearknob for my ae86 I just want to know how I can take the gear knob off as it cant screw off.
So can anyone help?

there will either be some allan key screws in the base of the gear nob or your not trying hard enough.

Why cant it screw off? If its been on there a long time you will need to put a bit of muscle into it.

you have to find a gearbox without a gearknob and bolt it in then install the momo.

As far as I know standard gearknobs always screw on and off... MOMO ones however have an allen key...

Hey guys,
I still havn't been able to take my sprinter gearknob off. I do understand what you mean by screw off as my r33 does screw off. But however my sprinter doesn't even move. I have been looking for bolts but I can't find any. Does any one know what to do?

get your hairdryer and burn the f#*@er, and then slap some honey onto it and leave to soak for aproximately 15 minutes
before attempting any removal of this device
