Hey mate,
I'm undertaking this as we speak. As soon as I get the body finished then I'm putting the engine in.
In the meantime, is there anything specific you'd like to know?

Yeah well. I had a Soarer lined up but on further inspection, the car is just way too stuffed. So I considered a GA61. But having driven one now, I don't like the handling at all. I'm gonna go check out a '79 Celica(TA45?) today. I drove that and it went pretty hard even with a 2TGEU.
I was thinking that maybe if I buy this Celica then I could get someone to make me up(or refabricate) some engine and gearbox mounts for the conversion.

I can tell you right now a GA61 in good condition will out-handle a TA45 any day. Having said that, GA61's are getting old now so the one you drove may have been rooted.
