heya just wondering if i'm on the right track here.
i've got a car thats just been painted with acrylicx and 3 coats of gloss.
to buff it up i have to rub it back with sand paper (bout 800 - 1000), then use a cut and polish then wax it. am i right? if i'm not please tell me where i'm going wrong. thanks in advance

How long has it been since the paint and gloss went on?

Depending on the paint job, you may get away with just using a cutting compound! But you are right by using a very very very fine sandpaper and then doing the cut and polish!
