Removing double-sided tape from doors

Does anyone have any tips for removing the double-sided tape that holds the protective mouldings on the doors of cars ? After removig side protector strips, I am left with remnants of old tape on the doors that doesn't come off easily. Have tried, metho and turps but need something to break down or dissolve the stuff.

i noe eucalyptus oilw works, but i do NOT however know what effects it has on the paint

Excellent, thanks all. I'll try the eucalyptus oil and if that fails I'll get a caramel wheel. Thanks Joshstix, excellent thread, I missed it in my search.
