non-v8 soarer engine is the 1jz-gte

what car are you thinking of putting this into? (I assume you're asking because of a conversion idea)

remember the rta imposes weight:capacity limitations on conversions ... especially if the car came witha 4 cyl engine originally

1jz is out of th soarer, come to think o fhow dumb I feel right now lol!!!!
Ahh well it was more curiosity and to do with working out how much of the weight of each car is the engine.
And yep true, thnx for the reminder lol, I am also in the state of highly restrictive laws on everything laws can be slapped on (NSW).
Heard the 1jz fits in the good ol ae86, u reckon that would b engineerable or compliable. Which ever it is (to me I dont get the diff - havent had to go through either of them yet).

The 1jz might fit with some effort, but the car will handle pretty poorly... I don't think it's registerable either.

NSW is one of the less restrictive states conversion wise.....

best to just stick with a 4a

it's definitly not engineerable.
most you can fitt is a 2.4 turbo (I think), so it doesn't quite fit
