You can run a standard 2T singlecam fuel pump. Make sure you use the insulator spacer between the pump and the block, 5mm thick, maybe thats what you forgot. Any pump from a 2T or 3T-C should work. Originaly, the 2T-G fuel pump did have a different part number to the 2T pump. I think the dimensions are the same, the difference must have been in the spring stiffness.

I have a spare 2T/2T-G pump I can sell you, and I also have a newish electric pump that will also work great.

Confused That is funny. Maybe my pump is faulty, cause we put spacer back on like it was, and it didnt work. Maybe it is bad luck and the pump decided to die rite when we pulled it out. Sad

Johny how much are u looking for the 2tg pump?

With the electric pump, will that be betta then the mech. pump? and how do your hook the electric ones up? what do you relay it to?? How much u sellin the electric one for? wat brand?

thanks! Very Happy

Maybe you got the fuel flow wrong. Check the pump in a bucket of fuel, pumping with your hand. Note which is intake and outlet.

You can have one of my old 2T/2T-G fuel pumps for $20 or something. The electric one would be about $60. The elcectric one is "Fuel-Flow" brand I think. Its for "8 and 6 cylinder engines". I have used it and it works great, out flows the 2T-G's needs easily. But the standard mechanical one also works for my 1600cc 2T-G. Maybe with my 1800cc engine with big cams I will have to upgrade to electric, not sure.

Electric one is just 2 wires. Can hook it up to anything, I used a relay from the ignition. A relay may not even be needed.

I thought the 2T fuel pump wouldn't work on the 2TG because the lever was too short. I tried my 2T fuel pump on my #220 2TG and it wouldn't pump. I think the 2TG fuel pumps are extremely rare as every 2TG i've seen has the electrical fuel pumps, which i feel are the best way to go anyway, at least u get fuel pumping into the carbies without relying on the engine cranking.

definately use a relay and run it off the wipers or something, just make sure th source doesn't run when the key is on ignition, or it'll pump when u r sitting there pumping beats

I bought a universal fuel pump from repco, its suitable for anything up to a carbie V8. The twin carbies do need a fair bit of fuel so make sure the fuel pump is sufficient and its probably best to buy them new to avoid problems (mine was $80).

its also good to put a "kill switch" on the fuel pump for added security, just an insulated, hidden switch on the positive wire.

Hey Thanks all for the info.

i got my hands on a 2tg fuel pump, he says that the arm things are a little longer than the 2t ones. he will be giving it to mee free of charge so i can wack it on and hope it does the job well. yeah he says that 2tgs drink alot of fuel soo sometimes the general electric ones r not sufficient to do the work.

i think that is wat is happening now with this Electric fuel pump! cause 2day i got the Choke hooked up, and when i run the engine with Full or even half Choke i dont get any coughin or poping from the Carbies!even after been warmed up and once i turn choke off, and after 10 secs or so, the Carbies start to pop and cough at about 2k-3.5k

I dont think Running the engine with choke on will be very effienct haha but i think i might hav to do it all the way to the my Mechanic!

Thanks heaps ppl! Very Happy
update ya soon.
