Hi all, in need of some help!

I'm trying to get an old 4AC running at the moment. For some reason that beats me its only firing plugs 2, 3 & 4. No.1 is not firing.

I've changed the dizzy cap, rotor, points, hi-tension leads but still no go!

I can't work it out.. It's such a simple system and if all the other plugs are firing should be no reason for number 1 not to.

Sometimes there is a very weak spark, but most the time none at all. I've put the timing light on the hi-tension leads and it flashes for all of them apart from the no.1 lead.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Joel

Try swapping the spark plugs around. Sometimes spark plugs can have a hair line crack in the insulator which you can't see, but sparks jump the gap very easily resulting in very little spark energy.
