hey, can does anyone have any pics that show exactly where the map sensor is on a 90 model gt4 celica? i think i know where it is, but can't be sure.

i wouldn't have a clue, was reading the instructions on the fuel cut defender and it said to plumb it in the line to the map sensor from the intake manifold.
so you tell me????

As far as I'm aware, Its only the ST205 that has a map sensor. The 165 and 185 have air flow sensors.

Not 100% on the ST165 but the ST185 has both a air flow meter and a map sensor.
Does that FCD want you to splice into the map sensor wire? or actually into the vac/boost line on the sensor?
If its just the wire you can get to it at the ecu from the pasenger footwell (under stereo).

Yes the 185 has a map sensor, it's used for the boost cut. Should be on the firewall next to the brake booster from memory. f not just follow each of the vac lines from the plenum until you find one that leads to the map sensor. The map sensor has a label on it that reads pressure sensor if you have never seen one before
