TA22 Glass guards

Ok who is seriously interested in fiberglass guards for the TA22?
I'm currently in the middle of making some of these and if there is enough interest I might think about pulling my finger out.
Also what are people willing to pay for such a thing?
One thing to note is that these guards are not for weight saving, they are replacement guards that will not rust. However these guards will be a lot lighter than the standard items.

i'd be interested , don't know what i'd pay it would depend on the cost of materials and the time it took to make them
and i really like the idea of them not rusting as i had to derust enough of mine to make then usuable

Well its going to cost at least $100 for each mould, and then the cost of getting the original guards welded up and painted.
Obviously I will be wanting to make some of this back. And the more people interested initially will bring the cost down.

ps when i read the post title i thought hmm glass... that would look cool but would prob break pretty quick!

Bonnet and boot lid might come after the guards but they are much harder. Attaching hinges to fiberglass is not an easy thing to do.
I might just make some skins for the bonnet.

shane. also looked into this.
the bonnet will be very exxy though i know of a top mould for it - so could help you out there maybe if interested......just need the bottom part to make the complete thing.
the boot lid i personally would not bother with. they don't rust enough to warrant replacement.
guards - definately a good idea!!!!!!! bloody rusty things....keep me in the loop for sure!

If you do decide to make the bonnet, make it with holes for bonnet pins in all corners instead of trying to put hinges on them.
P.s very interest. celica has water cancer and needs major surgery

Thats a mad idea Rdrunner...
I've seen that b4 in carbon fibre and it's sweet... Undo 4 pins and one guy lifted off the bonnet with no worries...

I have no idea. This is why I was thinking about just doing a skin for the bonnet.
