1jz TPS question

Guys... Trying to sort out my hassles ...
This is what it does.
Foot 90% to the floor... goes damn hard.
Foot hard into the floor... Coughs and doesn't go as hard.
Could this be the TPS?? Just an idea? Are they adjustable?

i had the same problem, the cause was fouled plugs. Ran fine up until full thorttle then missed like crazy. Sounds obvious but worth a check.

Luke I know you changed your plugs last week , but have you done it since that 200 k's of limp mode the other night ??
That could be your prob.
Could also be an over richness problem too, just like joeys cressida on a smaller scale.
have you experimented with your fcd ??

Try cleaning and re-gapping your plugs to 0.8mm, dis connect your battery to re-set your ECU, then see what happens. How may k's have the injectors done?
Also check that you are getting signal from you O2 sensor as it will run too ruch if it is stuffed. (ie safe mode.)

Is it because the engine management is going full rich with wide open throttle? My JZ didn't feel as powerful with foot flat to the floor compared to at about 80%, until I changed the fueling curve. It may be a problem with the ECU on Auto models - the other guys seem to mostly have manuals.

Mine's a factory manual and had the same hesitation with the stock fuel mapping. With the S-AFC tuned and cutting 5-15% fuel between 4000 and 8000 rpm, I can go WOT without any resistance and response is instantaneous. May be related to factory ECU tuning to 100 RON fuel in Japan and factory map overfuelling to avoid knock and to keep valve temps down.
