Yeha It broke diff on its first outing and was retired because they discovered water in the oil of its brand new engine !!! I wonder what that could be ??

LMAO!!!! Laughing

Must have forgotten to replace the original gasket, that stops them blowing doesn't it??

Attach a chain to it and hang it off a really big boat! Twisted Evil

hey, they aren't that bad!

Friend of mine has run one with 400-odd hp for a couple of years. Has now just installed a gt-30 and is putting in a motec m-800 in a couple of weeks. Not expecting any issues with that. Obviously the MHG was installed properly...

Yeah, the MHG would be fine for something 300 or so kW at the engine. The problem was this thing 500kw+ at the wheels. In that situation, you're going to need all the gasket you can...and the 7M isn't overly well endowed in that area!

Mmmmm....not so sure I agree. Clearly, there is a problem. I speak to a guy from the US not infrequently who is running 675 rwhp from his twin turbo 6MG. He did have some BHG issues initially but they're sorted now.

Anyway I hope noone bans me for a bit of muck raking! Grin

Hahaha, is okay GT...no one is out to get you... Wink Wink Wink

You have to admit, this guy you know, his solution for his 6MGTE was a triumph of engineering over design.

I read some where that M series engines on lpg are capable of hp akin to the batmobile.

producing 0 -100 in 0 (zero) seconds. Now thats really fast!!

If you go to the upcoming dyno day, you will see the aforementioned LPG powered 5ME. hehehe

Whilst its hp and accelerative properties are woven into the fabric of fantasy, it really does produce 107 dB.
