Tyron. Munki. Philmelvin
The head has had Holden 5lt valves and seats installed.
There are no valve springs and the new valves need to be ground to length, and Collet grooved, suit the cam that is used.
I still have the old springs and retainers.
The gearbox is W50.
the other bits are motor internals IE new cams to suit S/C motor, new rods, timing chain bits. etc

crostek, I will find out about transport costs on the head first. I already have a couple of heads to work with here. How hard was the fitment of the Holden valves?
About the other bits (S/C = supercharged ?), are the cams reground or after market esp. for the 18RG and what profiles are they?
Price on cams?
When you say new rods, are these aftermarket H-beam or I-beam steel rods or something, and if so what sort of price would you be looking for?
Are the timing chain bits like new upper guides and tensioner bits and again a price?
Probably too many questions there. By the sounds of the bits I would say you must race them?
Thanks again,
Tyron.

I take it, it is probably your race car in the shot. Just ignore the last question on the previous post

Race them (toyota and nissan) for ten years, then lost a good friend in a fatal crash at a Sydney circuit and haven’t race since, been 7 years since I last put a car around a track.
most parts are new, I don't have any timming chain parts bar a new upper tensioner (bit that srcews into head).
The cams are reground from Ivan Tighe, to suit superchared motor. can not remember the profile.
The rods are steel factory new.(never have a problem with them).
To put Holden valves in you need to replace seats and valve guides as Holden valves are Imperial, and the valves need to be cut down to length.

Sorry about your friend
I am at the other end of the scale, just beginning in motorsport.
I haven't found out any transport costs, have to do it Monday now.
I thought that RGs had cast rods not forged steel?
The turbo kit I bought for the RG motor that I am doing was previously on a 18R running 28PSI boost in a celica, apparently did a best of a 12.9 sec 1/4 running draw through carby, no intercooler and on pump fuel with methanol injection to stop detonation. Not bad for a relatively internally stock motor!
What price were you looking for the rods and cams?
The holden valves sound like a good conversion as I haven't had any luck trying to get o/s ss valves for the RG head. Machining isn't a problem. I had full intentions of putting in bronze valve guides and machining back the guides to sit flush with the port roof anyway.
