It couldn't be easier. If it's a mechanical gauge, just hook up the reference line to somewhere on the plenum and run it through the firewall to your gauge. If it's an electronic gauge, mount the sensor near the plenum and hook up the reference line as above. Wiring instructions should be provided with your gauge.

the engiine has just been put into my ra28 from my ta22 and the boost guage was already wired up in the ta22 when i bought it, hence-no instructions. the guage in question is a 2 1/2" pro comp autometer guage(mechanical???).you will have to excuse my ignorance as my knowledge of cars is limited-what is a plenum and where can i find it?

if it is mechanical then there will be a brass fitting on the back. Clear plastic tubing goes from there to your plenum. You use brass "olive" fittings on the end of the tube.
it will still have wiring, this is for the illumination. You can hook it straight up to an ignition fed +12V or you can hook it up to the existing dash lighting feed on your dash so that the light comes on only when your headlights are on. Grab a test light and poke around under the dash till you find the dash illumination feed (test light will come on with the headlights)
