I used to get u[ early on Saturday mornings to watch Transformers when I was little, and I seem to remember that there was an autobot called smokescreen back then. In the original series. In the 80s. Before WRXs. Hmm.
There used to be a hoon autobot, I think, but that's stetching the memomory!

was a mk2 supra transformer - looked pretty crazy.

You can also get the first series on dvd. This is when they are on their home planet and they do not even change into cars yet . Then they crash and on earth and take on disguises as earthly automobiles.
