im forum-whoring this thread to try and get a maximum cross-section of answers Very Happy

ANY tips, comments, rough ideas on cost, how to go about it etc would be REALLY handy, as i've never done anything like this before..

get an SC12, make up a bracket, make some inlet piping, make a pulley for it, choose your drive ratio, work out boost you wanna use, work out needed CR, chhose eithe pistons or head to get you there (ie combination of dished piston and earlier head (like K/3K bigport) or go flat tops with 4K head and hog out the combustion chambers) make exhaust,
oh, and programmable EFI, you'll be hard pressed to make it go really well with a blow thru carb. maybe MS Wink

it's exactly the same as putting an SC onto any other engine. same constraints and similar costs. you just have to plan it properly. maybe try a few books like corky bell etc..

the sc12 was from the 4AGZE.

i know brad from the oldcorollas group put an sc14 on his 4K and ran it on straight LPG with very good results. would be a good idea to ask on there for some help dude.

well, my plans have changed slightly now, as i purchased an 82 ke70 panelvan today... and it's got a 4K-C in it.. and i'll be selling the sedan ive got at present..

SO... how much harder/easier is it to s/c the 4k-c (1.3l)
or would something like a twin/quad carb setup and a warmed up cam etc be better/worse?

im stoked to have finally found a ke70 van.. been hunting for around 3 years

cheers, matt
