Japanese speakers/readers... Wed, 23 July 2003 06:07 Go to next message
As the title suggests, I'd like to know if anyone on here:
Speaks/reads/writes Japanese and,
Would possibly like to help in translating a Japanese-language manual. I may only need part/s of the manual translated, as I have the Oz-spec (and US-spec) manuals for the car, with which we can compare...As with most JDM-spec cars, however, the particular car in question is better specced than either a US or Oz-spec "equivalent"...thus the extra "bits".

...and no, there isn't an existing Japanese-English translation of this particular manual. Sad

Anyway, if anyone's interested in helping (probably for beer etc, rather than wads of cash), then let me know...

Does that mean hey babe come get some?...That's the usual types of things everyone learns first in your second or third language.

I hope that wasn't directed at me...

As for the thread getting moved, I should have thought of it's appropriateness prior to posting. (Apologies to moderators! Embarassed )

As for the subject, I am actually serious; as some may know, I have already bought and paid for a 1989 "C-F" spec Celsior, which I will import under the 15-year rule in Jan 2004. This thing is decked, and includes things such as separate Stereo and A/C controls for the rear passengers, and electric seats...Front AND rear (even the head-restraints are electric! Shocked . These options never appeared on Oz or US-spec LS400s, so I would like the relevant sections of the manual translated to "append" to the Oz-spec one for carrying in the glove-box.

I hope that explains the post's motivation succinctly enough...
