I seriously doubt it. Unless you extend or tighten the bar after installing (extending, ie stressing the chassis is Not A Good Idea At All, I'm not 100% sure about tightening slightly) things shouldn't be any different.
Except, turn in should be improved, the front end will feel tighter and driving should be more fun Strut brace made quite a difference for me.
I belive you're supposed to install in when on level ground; someone else will know more.

Yes, you should install it on level ground with the car actually on the ground. Basically you want the brace to hold the towers where they will usually sit. If you have the car off it's wheels it'll be too wide, if you put too much weight on the front end it'll be too narrow when it's driving normally...

by the way, anyone knows where to get "spacers" for strut bars?
or are they available at all suspension places?
