I was just wondering if anyone with a AE-92 4AGE has changed their distributor cap lately, and if you have did you use a Toyota (Denso) cap or other.
The reason i ask this is i have been trying to find a non genuine cap for 3 days with no luck. I purchased one 2 years ago for my last 4AGE but now wherever i go they say they don't make them for the AE-92 4AGE.
My last resort is to buy genuine at a whoping $130 for a cap.

Please HELP!!

You can buy a Ae-82 4age(tvis) cap at like peps or repco, about $30 I think. So I dont see why you cant get a 100kw one. Arn't they the same anyway???

AE82 came with 100kW 4AGE anyway (even with TVIS)

I chose the genuine option when replacing my dizzy cap, but noticed that it is the same as my mates AE82 100kW 4AGE dizzy cap.

Can you take your old cap into the shop to compare?

I did take my old cap in to compare and they have nothing like it on their books for the 4AGE AE-92, they aren't the same as the AE-82 but there books say they are. And the guys at both Auto 1 and Repco rang up BOSH and they say that they don't make them. So i guess i am going to have to go genuine.
But if anyone with an AE-92 can tell me if they have changed one lately it would be greatly appreciated.
