Can any one give me some basic preferd oils sparkies etc etc, they use on there 1jz gte engine, and also some info on timing belts when should be changed and all that....... New owner of a 1jz

Bit of a step up from the old AE82 then ay?? Is it a Soarer or Supra?? Manual or auto???

If you want a genuine filter for a 1JZ, go to your local Toyota dealer and ask for an oil filter for a 1996 Vienta V6.
There are a host of other cars that use the same filter as the 1JZ, and the Vienta is one of them.

Ahh cool thanks for that coz I just got the car home today and looked over the endine bay and all the buttons n stuff in the car, lots to play with something id like to know is that theres like a small rubber hose next to the excelerator pedal with a screw pluging the end of it the nrma report said something abt it 'vacum hose pluged as requierd" does any one know what thats all about? and also
the cd player doesnt work just spits out the cd after a few seconds but the tape deck works fine. The reverse sensor works alrite too. Anything else I find ill put up later as time goes on.
