My new-to-me MA70 Turbo A Mon, 28 July 2003 01:21 Go to next message
Everyone loves to show off their new ride. Well, here's mine! Very Happy

I think I can say with confidence that this is possibly one of the best supras in the world and the fact that it's only 1 of 500... well that's even better! The spare has never even been used. And this is 15 a year old car. 1988 baby!!! Very Happy

I've included some engine bay shots so you MA70 guys can see the differences with the Turbo A. Note the bigger IC (with modified overflow bottle), unrestrictive 3000 pipe and lack of AFM.

That's a big call dude. You're saying that your supra is the second best in QLD? I haven't seen it, but that's a big claims to fame Laughing

Rigo - interior looks fantastic, one of the best I've seen. Pity about those wheels though, they completely ruin the car. At least they're not chromies I guess.

Oh.. and when do ARB want their offroad suspension kit back?

Leigh, you didn't seem to mind the wheels when they were on the targa supra... I don't really like them much, but they're okay (even though they ARE chromed - I don't like chrome much). I just don't wanna fork out 2+ grand on wheels at the moment.

I know the back looks really high. The front's actually REALLY low! I have trouble getting it up my driveway and not scraping the lip. The shocks are height adjustable. Don't ask me why, but the owner in Japan just set up the rake like that. When I have some time I'm gonna drop the back 20mm or just under an inch (max adjustment on the shocks).

I don't remember passing comment in person - I'm very picky when it comes to wheels myself.

Good to hear it's getting lowered. Mine is about the right height in the front but personally I think the rear needs to come down... I like them low... really sets off the wide shape nicely, especially in a dark solid colour like black.

I would be very interested to see you get it put on an accurate dyno and spin it up... also be great to see how one goes at the drags. It would be good to see some rumours laid to rest and the results set in stone before any mods are made... also, stick a boost gauge on and tell us how much it runs stock!

Umm I wasn't really being serious dude. I will be the first to tell you my supra aint the best.
I was simply using it as a way to congratulate Rigo and let him know what i think about his Supra.
Brett.

PS mine just got worse also. Got rear-ended today.
