Those online games are EVIL!

EVIL!!

Soon, you'll stop shaving, get fat and have lots of money to spend on your car as you don't go out side (ever!).

hmmm ... not much would change for you! Except maybe the going out bit.

<quiet>And yes, I know I'm fatter than you.</quiet>

and you'll soon have to call him " baldrick the grey "

look out HKS! or he'll inflict +2 hitpoints on your cheek
( bitchslap ) I liked baldurs gate ( not online though - too many geeks/powergamers inhabit everquest ) but its more fun when you can cheat - and release thousands of rabid chickens agains your enemy!

Hehe, i'm not that fat. Embarassed Its all solid muscle.

Well heres the update, i am so hooked on this game its no longer funny.
The fact that it'll stop me going out and spending money is inviting though. More money for the engine build, which means more power. Very Happy

Balders gate was below average and everquest, i didnt think a great deal of either. This game rocks though. Cheating is over rated.

Do you need a good net connection to play? I've only got modem at my place ( Crying or Very Sad can't get cable/isdn/adsl and won't get satelite because of 2 seccond delays Crying or Very Sad ).

... and yes, your not that fat.

Nah you dont need a quick connection. Dialup is fine even for 2 users at once. I have actually tested this.

GT,
The reason i've abandonded social existence, is cause the car is currently off the road. I dont want it off the road for too long so this is a good way of not spending the money i have for the engine build, new suspension, twin plate clutch & new ECU.

speaking of abandoning social existance..

i was addicted to counter strike a while ago

it happened twice, got cable got addicted to HL team fortress, CS
then quit.

then half a year later installed CS again and moved to day of defeat, but quit again.

ive also found that if i start a game of Fallout or Fallout 2 i cannot stop playing until i have finished it and then some.

game of choice ATM is Pirates Gold for windows, good old classic game fun to pass that spare hour u sometimes get during a week Cool

EDIT: anyone else get addicted to games?

ABSOLUTELY.

At the moment my drug of choise is GTA Vice City. I've completed everything except the Hitian missions. The 'big cajones' missions need me to finish the hitain ones first, but I can't find where to get them.

Other games are Civ3 and Colonisation. Sid Myer is a genius (he did pirates too).

I go to MPU (Multiplayer United) once a month over at parramatta. you guys should come along - 250+ ppl gaming and leeching.

Gary, I might give you a call this weekend and drop in to have a look at this game. See if I should get involved.

Funny, I was horribly addicted to GTA3 but Vice City didn't grab me in the same way. Probably my most played game is Fifa2003. I've played that game since I got it the day it hit the shelf Smile Probably the only thing that will make me stop is Fifa2004 which looks like its going to be awesome. Ah, the cycle continues.

Anyone played Burnout2? That games is nutsy quick, I love speeding in and out of traffic Very Happy Hanging out for F-Zero GX, that is going to make me cream my jeans methinks

Yeah Pete,
Drop in mate, i'll be on it all Friday & Saturday night. My mate that got me hooked on it will be round on Saturday night LANning it with me so feel free to bring your pc too if you like.

Put it this way, its only $20 to buy the game and you get the 1st month free, so you can ditch it after that if you really want and its no big loss of cash.

I only just started playing GTA Vice City last week also and although also very addictive i've been spending every free minute on Camelot

on pc at the moment i've been playing wolfenstien: enemy territory. awesome stuff, focus is on playing as a team to complete objectives, rather than just killing people, although that has also been known to happen. it is only multiplay online, no single player game, but best of all, its totally free!! http://www.splashdamage.com/download.php?op=viewdo wnload&cid=7 (but it is ~250MB)

mostly play gta:vice city on my ps2, and i still love gt3 with the logitech driving force

I used to be hooked on DAOC for a few months when it was first released. If i can remember my user\pass i'd give somone the use of my lvl 42 Paladin(Duck Furcover), 21 Infiltrator(cant remember name) and my 35 Wizard(Deloech) but the account has probably been deleted Sad
...Hey i was in year 12 and had nothing else to do Rolling Eyes

Also been hooked on UO(played that for nearly 5 years on and off)

Everquest i felt was a waste of money, never touched shadowbane.
I want to play star wars galaxies or Eve. But i have a life now but no money :/

Yo do you have to buy a lame expansion pack or anything to play? And do they actually have Aus servers now? And how do you pay after the 1 month?

I used to be soo addicted to online rpg'ing but for now the best I get is a couple of hours of diablo2 a week. I'd love to return to the dark side. Staying up till 4am.. oh yeah...

Anyway I'm 100% interested. 100%!!!!!

Kyler,

There is an expansion pack, but you dont need it to play. I havent noticed any AU servers but even on dialup lag isnt an issue.
Most Aussies i've spoken to play on the Lancelot server.
