1JZ into commodore - engine mounts.

Just wondering how other people have set up there engine mounts on the 1JZ in custom fit applications, particularly commodores, but any feedback would be good. I am debating on whether to keep the alloy mounts and adapt to them or fabricate steel mounts straight from the block. It's a JZX81 engine with auto and a VL crossmember.

Yes, I'm still around.
The VL got sold and now are looking for the next project.
Probably Lexus IS200 with 1JZGTE or 2JZGTE.

maybe lookup anthony kellam i know he and a friend did a 1JZ into a VH commodore yonks ago. i have photos of the mounts somewhere PM me and i'll have a look for them

I don't know much about the 3S-GTE motors.
Will have to look further into them - isn't that the motor that the Altezza has.

The Altezza has a 3S-GE. The 3S-GTE is in the Celica GT4's and MR2's.
