hey. i found a 1997 rav 4 at a wrecker and i was wondering would the engine fit in my camry? im pretty sure the rav has a 3sge and i know my camry has a shit 3sfe. is it a good idea, or should i just look for a celica front cut? i dont want to get a 3sgte so dont suggest it. i cant afford it right now... maybe later. thanks.

no, the Rav 4 does have a 3s-fe, though it is a later model so it might have more kw (the late model corona in japan has 103kw compared with our old 3s-fe's with 88). aslo i think it has a knock sensor.

thanks for the info. from that i assume the rav4 engine will fit without any problems or insurance issues, hehe. i found it quite cheap with low ks at a wrecker. would it be worth getting just to get my car on the road again? or should i really be looking for a better engine? (remember, no 3sgte yet.) cheers.
