nah theyre different the ones you have are the 1995 euro cat, the site I posted is for 1997 jap catalog.
I got the 1995 euro ones as well - they 1/2 work , there were some errors on the download .
the euro cat is a bit limited - the jap one has everything I think.

Chrisss,
Use program called "Fireburner" it may help since it is an ISO. I also have the '95 EPC but wouldn't mind getting the '97 one as well... oh well... more downloading tonight.

I've burnt the 97 Japanese one. It didn't work the first time and was locked in European or something. So I reinstalled it, this time I had the Japanese CD in the drive...it worked...strange.
As for what to burn it in, I used Nero. When the wizard opens up, just close it, go File -> Burn Image and select it that way.

What EPC for short is "Electronic Parts Catalog", similar to the one currently used at toyota but the previous version before the current one they are using. There are many variants around but not as available as Toyota.
My EPC caters for 1980-1992 European cars which do have some Aust. Spec cars ie, xA-6x Celica, MA-6x Celica-Supra, ST-141 Corona to name a few, but most are Euro both left and right hand drive. It is useful to do a bit of homework before making a fool of yourself looking for a part which is difficult to find... Just mention the PNC(Part Number Code) or the whole part number to see if it available and see how much it is.
Example of a diagram i used to find parts for my MA61 is...
Cheers. Hope that helps...

OK it works now.
the help file in nero is useless.
I had to convert the file from .iso to .nrg 1st (which nero didnt mention!!!!)
that link I found didnt always allow me to conect so if you want it be patient.
also as a point of interest there are some folders on the cd's which you cant access through the catalog (eg AL25 tercel) but the data is on the cd.
also is it possible to run the catalog without having to insert the cd in the drive every time? ie save cd data to hard drive.

They don't include the TA63 Celica's by the looks of it. If you're just looking for the 3TGTEU stuff then there is a TT142 Corona which I have just confirmed has the 3TGTEU stuff in it.
Its on the first CD, so you don't need both...

Sorry to bring this up again, but I have tried on numerous occasions to get this EPC running on my computer and it just don't wanna play the game. It is probably something fairly straight forward that I am not doing but I just can't figure it out.
I go to the CD setup screen, add the listed cd's, press the F10 button and get a "system error occured" window appearing.
I was going to post up an image of the error screen but optus is not working for me either.
apart from the programming garble it shows the following.
(10/29/03 22:34:37)GCSUBS01.C,setuped_cd_check,FindFirstFile ,(80)(11)(0)
(10/29/03 22:34:37)GCSTUP14.C,unsetuped_cd_check,FindFirstFi le,(11)(0)(89)
(10/29/03 22:39:18)GCSTUP14.C,GetSetupedDriveInfo,FindFirstF ile,(11)(0)(443)
(10/29/03 22:39:23)GCSTUP10,mkdir,E:\TMCMSTW1,(0)(28)(530)
(10/29/03 22:39:23)GCSTUP,Cmd_PF_Click,get_input_dat/SetClie ntInfo,(28)(0)(0)
Any help would be much appreciated. Do you think I maybe should have given the CD a particular name??

A friend downloaded and burnt these CD's for me cos I only have dial-up. i think I will ask him if he burnt it as a full data image or just put the data on the CD's
I will keep a note of the CD names and try and figure out whats going on tomorrow.
Thanks for your help

Do you have 2 CD ROM Drives in the computer? That may be the first problem. The Second Problem is that are you tring to run it off the CD first or you are trying to get it running off the HDD? If you are trying to run it off the HDD you first need to point to the CD and see if it starts to run... If so then go to the CD Setup and change the CD content from CD to HDD...
Hope that helps...
Cheers.

I am trying to run it of the CD
I had a look at the CD, There is two sessions burnt onto the disc, so that may confuse things also. I will try and reburn them as a single CD image and see if that fixes things.

If you burn the file as a single track image it automatically names the CD with the correct name.
My copy is 97JAP version and works every time - never had a problem with it after I finally got it to work. Wasted a few CD's until I worked it out.
The printing seems to always be a screen print only - does anyone know how to capture the images so that they can be printed out full page size.

Can someone with a working EPC do me the biggest of favours and look-up the Toyota Crown or Mark II 1987 - 1991 models, GS12x and/or GS13x series, and see if they show the engine mount brackets please ?
I need to lock down exactly which years and models the brackets come from.
I think they are parts nos: 12311 70060 and 12315 70040 and the page on the EPC might be "MA 8542-G".(This could be very wrong!)
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

i had to uncompress the with a dos program called gzip. I carnt remember the link but look for gz file extension stuff. Then it all wnt smoothly. The files almost double in size from the downloaded size.
When n the epc program go to menu 7 cd and do the harddrivecd setup thing and press f10. If you need to change from japanese to european go the the no 8 menu and click which current cd area version you want.on the dot across the top of the screen. It will highlight which cds are available.
Hope that helps

I chose japanese area version -> chose E to drive option -> ADD -> cd rom or hard disk -> OK and then I press F10 and it jumps back to main menu. It doesnt do nothing. My euro catalog starts reading cd at this point.

Can someone in Sydney get me a copy if I give them the blank CD's?
Having an import which is becoming a bit of a bastard child as I change parts to better ones from other cars, its becoming hard to track down parts at Toyota.
The guy at my local dealer is starting to think about giving me a copy cause last time I was in there we had to look up 2 model Celicas, a Camry, & a Caldina; which took a good 20mins by the time he changed CDs & rummaged around.

Steve,
I'm in a similar boat to you with my 1G-GZE engine. If you manage to get set up with the EPC, can I have you look up some parts for me in exchange for a few $ for your troubles, or some other arrangement? I'm just struggling at the moment with a few small things and the local Toyota dealers are lazy swines.

dont know if this was posted before or not, but if your hard drive has a lot of free disk space (ie over 1Gb maybe.. just guessing) the program will say you haven't got enough disk space when you go to add the CD's. This is because it is an old program and could be using old API or not a large enough variable, or something else. Anyway the point ebing that if you fill your harddrive up with shite it works.
might help some of you

I got around this bug by running the app in Win95 compatibility mode.
[edit]
Ugh... it fixed that problem, but i cant get the rest of it working.
What a weird piece of software this is.
I do jap area, select the HDD (d drive), select A1,A2 HDD, hit execute.
Its does somthing for a while, asks for the second cd, and again does somthing for a while.
I go back to the main menu, try "Part num translation", it says to "execute the setup" again
