worn 3S-GTE Needed Tue, 29 July 2003 22:45 Go to next message
hi all

I need a 3S-GTE motor for a rebuild for my GT4.
So if you have a worn 3S-GTE please let me know.

I don't need the intercooler (unless its an ST205 or ST185RC motor Smile ) or the turbo. Just the block and head which need to be in "non-terminal" condition (ie. no holes in block or warped heads etc please).

I have around $500-$1000 to spend depending on the motor.

Thanks for your reply

Pref a ST185 GT4 motor.

But I will pay a bit extra for a ST185RC with intercooler if possible.

does that include the intercooler as well? I notice you have it for sale in the other forum.

I understand it probably wouldn't have the pump and rad for the 'cooler thou. What about the ECU?

I've just heard of problems running the ST185 ECU with the ST205 engine.

my problem with the ST205 stuff is that I'd need to install the ST205 ECU (which sounds a bit tricky), plus my Aussie dumppipe is for a twin wastgate CT26 rather than the CT20B turbo.

But the idea of an ST205 motor is VERY tempting Razz

If you don't mind, I'll just wait for Terry (above) to reply to see what he has.
