3SGTE Pistons to 3SFE Block Wed, 30 July 2003 04:13 Go to next message
Can I use four 3SGTE Pistons on my 3SFE Block and Head engine. The reason why I'm insisting in this setup is because everyone does the same thing. Install the 3SGTE engine and your good to go. No, I want to develop this engine. Their are many 3SFE engine in Japan Turbocharged and Supercharged. When the owners of these vehicles stay with this engine. That means that the HP is their. You just have to work with it. On this island, the 3SFE engine is abundant. The 3SGTE engine can be counted with one hand. To tell you the truth, I've never seen one. Shocked Were can I get 3SFE forged pistons?

from what i've read i beleive they'll fit. i don't know if they are forged or not. no one makes forged pistons AFAIK specifically for the 3s-fe, they would have to be custom.

you will have a power loss with the turbo pistons in a NA engine.

That is my intention, 3SFe engines do not have Forged Piston. When I use a Turbo system on the 3SFE I need forgrd piston. I just wondering if the top of the piston won't damage the valves at TDC?

it would cost you less for a 3s-gte than to make yours turbo. And the 3s-gte will produce more power due to head configuration

agreed with banshee. 3sgte will make more power in the long run and will be so much cheaper to get power figures. also the pistons from the 3sgte are forged standard.
