Sprinter w/ VL/VN Fuel Pump Help

Hey Guys,
Im doing the 4age conversion on my sprinter this weekend and ive run into some problems with fuel delivery.
Ive heard it is pretty common to use Camira/VL/VN etc
The problem is. The sprinter has 6mm lines, and VL Turbo pump I have has a 12mm inlet and 8mm outlet. The 8mm fits easy enough but the 12mm is WAY off ;p And I dont know what I can use to tapper the line down?
Any sugestions?

camira/vl yes
vn v6 no - the pump is in the tank
vn v8 yes - high pressure pump external to tank.
wouldn't most plumbing places be able to help you here?

goto an air tool specialist they will have brass fittings that you can adapt to make it work, repco usually has a good selection as well, they usually have one piece units that adapt from one size to another

the vl commodore has a ruber hose with 90 degree bend in it
it goes from the fuel line to the vl fuel pump
one end is 12 mm the other end is 8 mm
so goto a holden dealership and ask for this hose if it will do the job
they r pretty cheap too
we always use these for goin from surge tanks to vl efi pump
so imagine an L shaped hose with a 12mm sized outlet on one end and an 8 mm outlet on the other

Oh, does the vl run a fuel filter too? Wouldnt that be between the tank outlet and the pump?
I.E. L Shaped pipe is from the tank to the filter or its from the filter to the pump?
Ill have to be specific when ordering the part

Although, if you still haven't sorted this, I MIGHT be able to help you out with a 'real' EFI tank to fit

I might be able to get you a factory EFI tank, have to ask someone about that...
Also, if I can't get it, I've got a spare tank at my place, if you want to mod it first before you rip your car apart!

You may want to do a little more research as VL and VN pumps are completely different types. A VN is a submersible pump for a baffled EFI tank, and a VL pump is suitable for an external setup.

the small hose coming from the engine bay is the return
one of the big ones is the vent and the other one is the supply,
blow into the big ones and the one making bubble noises is supply, or just look at whichever big one is going to the engine.
i cold be wrong as its been a while since i did it.
ill check tmrw on the car to make sure.
