A friend tells me that it isnt to hard to put them in... what do u ppl think?
Im really open to suggestions... i have some money comin my way... around $8000 and want to know the best mod i could do...
ive been thinking... its either a 1g-gte 1jz-gte (ppl say a no go) or a 13bt
is there any other kinds of motors that would go in? i sorta dont want the 1g cause i wanna be different. so thats why i ask has a rotary been put in a celica....
a guy i know from work said his brother had a RA65 with a rotary. Didn't really say much about it other than he beat it with his mini cooper s and after that his brother got rid of the celica and bought the mini off him.
I've seen rotaries put into earlier Celicas (TA22/RA23) so I see no reason it couldn't be done in an RA65.
As for other options, there's always the 3S-GTE option. Not cheap, but very good! Then there's the budget old-school approach, a turbo 18R-G with lots of home-made bits... this is the route I've chosen. My goal is to have 250bhp for under a grand!
I've got an RA23 with a 13B it was not very hard at all to put in. I would say that it would be just as easy to do the ra65.Is the engine bay roughly the same I don't know for sure but would imagine so.It's up to you put I enjoy mine
