u can run an autronic haltech motec microtech
how much money u wanna spend

u will need about 2000 to 4000 bucks depending what one u buy

just ring microtech haltech or someone who sells the ecus

latest microtech is bout 1300 i think
ems stinger is round the 1000
autronic is about 1800
motec is bout 3000

then u need extras for some ecus
its not a simple case of buying an ecu and wiring it up
some need more extras than others

well u still need the dizzy in the back so as u get a crank signal
or u could fit triggers to the front of the crank pulley

but if u run the dizzy just make a small cover for it since u dont need the plastic dizzy cap

then u use the aftermarket ecu to trigger the coils
if u run the twin output coils like a 4agze u will then need ignitors u can use either 2 bosch modules about 250 to 300 bucks each or if the aftermarket ecu can use the factory 4agze ignitor then u can buy one of them

u have to sit down and make sure u have priced everything u need
otherwise u could start the project and it might blow out by 1000 bucks which usually happens anyway

Have a look at this document:

http://www.toymods.org.au/photo//TechDocs/How%20to %20install%20a%2020v%20in%20RWD%20trim%20properly. pdf

This project has moved on from here though and currently is one step away from firing the engine.

It is using a wolf 3D (the latest version) and has come together very nicely. I myself do not know too much about the wiring side of the install. If you want to know more send a pm to seadog

Cheers

at the moment the LTX8 microtech is $1095, plus $165 for a handset or $100 for a laptop adaptor,

it uses all your factory sensors and coils, no need to buy anything else, just purchase the ECU and tuning option and wire up and away you go,

if you want more info please PM me or email dheiler@toshiba-tap.com

im not sure that the ems stinger can talk to the toyota igniters,

microtech require no igniters as they are built in in the LTX8 model
