I'm pretty sure there's a guy somewhere in Australia who has come up with a handy little unit that will allow you to blank off the dizzy & use GZE coils instead with the standard 20V computer. The only other thing I know about it is it's suprisingly cheap, only a couple hundred bucks or so.
I don't have any details on who or where but surely someone else knows about it?

Look here, nice piece of kit this is, too bad about the price.

I've seen a distributor mounted like this on a 3S-GE. All custom fabricated.

Your right there about the price.....what a rip off. Just dump the dizzy altogether and run a crank angle sensor and after market computer. You could probably do it cheaper too if it costs 1300 US just for the relocation kit.

The manufacturers of the kit, unfortunately it's all in japanese. Seems to be a very comprehensive kit, or kits that you can get.

hmm, it cost 488000 yen all up, oanda.com says

488,000 Japanese Yen = 6,235.62 Australian Dollar
