Rod, how could you?!?!? Now I must face the shame!!!!
Hehe, nah, seriously, I was expecting low, but not quite that low...... I must have had the bumpiest power curve on the day, shouldn't there be a trophy for that??
Oh well, it'll be interesting to see what I can muckup with this handset for my microtech (thanks darola), you never know, I might even be able to fix up the tuning a bit. Lets keep our fingers crossed.......
Well done to all those who won trophies, they were well deserved.

Yeah, I really enjoyed the day. Came here from melbourne for the event, among other things. Really enjoyed it all. I was very happy with 141.2 from my LPG fed sprinter, but hey, next time I'd like to see a LOT more...
Shame I busted 2nd gear 5 mins up the road after leaving the event! Damned T50...

nice work guys... sorry i didn't make it. Well actually i did but everyone had gone home. I rocked up at 5:45pm after leaving home at 10am to get there. Lets just say 1jzgte's do have bad days, VERY bad days. Anyhow, after 2 nrma calls and countless hours in servo's under the hood, i limped to dyno place off boost. Bit rude to see it was all packed up!! just kidding. Anyhow, sorry.
The 4agte (ben), that got 200 plus kw's, is that the mr2??? That is bloody huge 4ag power!!

Can we have a trophy for ...
FI under 1800cc non turbo charged???
I think that would be much better for all of us here...
ps
Thanks for drawing my ticket for a prize while I was parking my car after running on the dyno ... (only then to redraw it)
Gimmie my money back!

Have to agree with everyone else, was a fantastic day and next time we won't let a 7m beat us. Just wait till the other newcastle 1j's are back on the road.
The starlet was a weapon and the mr2 made power that others can only dream about. I have to say i respect these smaller motors when they put out such figures.

Some unusual results. Can't understand how two 7A-FEs beat Mos' 4A-GE or the 3S-FE. I've owned one myself and can't that out figure.
Also interesting to see the top 6 FI was a 7M-GTE.

Damn... I should have taken our Soarer! We had it dynoed in Melbourne earlier this year (after some "tidying-up" of the exhausts) and it peaked at 133RWKW. (Would have won it's class on those numbers... )

This coming from the man who said that an over 2800 class wasn't necessary because there weren't any cars in that class!

I'm assuming you mean a 1UZ-FE Soarer? There was one last time with 117Kw but didn't bother about joining up as a member.

Thanks for the great day guys n girls. My boss says I have a knack for stating the obvious, so I will. The Losers were those who squirted their rides up and down out the front of the venue. I like going quick (anyone will tell you that for free). Its just not in crowded streets or in car parks. This is how the car accident came about, and it is the real reason that the cops came to keep an eye on us (one even mentioned not wanting another accident before the day was over).
My condolences to those whose vehicles were damaged by an over ambitious crowd pleaser.
Pity the cops didn't have a power run on the dyno!

I'll get some pics and vids later in the week when we get them digitised and send them through.
Anyone know what the Gen3 5.7ltr was rated at? Was it a 225 or 250? Just trying to get an average of drivetrain losses.

The GEN3 are 220kW in VT's and 225kW in VX models. If it was a Clubbie it would be 250kW

all conquering 5M i think not! ( its 12 valves and a camshaft short of a 1g! considering the engine was free, and the gas setup cost me all of about $400 i dont mind)
the sprinter on lpg didnt do too bad, we will see what my 7m-gt puts out on LPG when i get it finished
rod what happend to puting the 5m-ge beast on the rollers? i wanted to see how much an extra camshaft makes!

The Red VX Exec Gen3 5.7 V8 is a mate of mine from work. Started as a 225kW but he's improved the air intake. We reckon on about 25% losses so thats 242kW at the engine. There's an exhaust for it at home as well. The AU Falcon on the day has about 167kW at the engine and ran 120kW at the wheels.

The dyno day was cool but a day at the drags would be much more entertaining. This might be something "the board" will look into. Sorry if i offended anyone with my two short squirts on the street. I think i held it reasonably straight.
Time slips are the only trophy.

Erm! 190Kw from 1.3l Starlet turbo! You got my respect! Im just thinking that the old 1jz = 2.5L = just under 2 X 1.3L I'd be dreaming about over 350RWKw tonight.
Also, 214Kw from a 7m engine is good to see also - it must fly off the line with the extra low RPM torque.

The only thing different from last times run, is that I changed the oil with Magnatec (10W) and used some octane booster. But IMHO I don't think that octane booster would give me an extra 9kw's over last dyno run!?
Dyno Day 4 = 49fwkw's Dyno Day 5 = 58fwkw's
I'm not complaining, looks better on paper

I wonder if the cooler weather played some part in the improved figures. I can't forget what a scorcher of a day the last one was. Sounds like a top time. I feel bad not being there.

Id almost garuntee the cooler weather helped. It was around 31 deg c in the room on dyno day which is still pretty warm. Last time i think it was at least 40deg C.
The day before this dyno day, i dyno'ed in a room with 16 degC and got 225 rear wheel kilowatts. I lost 16kw over night.
The Riggolli and Premier dyno's are dead even as far as i know. Same 4wd model dyno dynamics dyno. Both with the standard settings not the "Dyno shootout" mode which allows you to artificially scale up every power figure.

Allan,
Ye old 5M-GE is running well but until I can verify the timing on it its safer off the rollers. Maybe next time just for a laugh
Then again next time there will hopefully be some serious T series action. I know of 3 other T series engines that couldn't make it on the day
