Alarm Wiring

Hey guys, just wiring up my sweet alarm (cheers Troy) and I need help getting the central locking to work!
The alarm has "Lock" and "Unlock" outputs.
My car has a switch on the drivers door which is used to "Lock" and "Unlock".
How do I make it work! lol
(I'm guessing because its an old type (vacuum?) I will need relays, if so what type!)
Cheers

Also what do I do with the "current sensing" part of the alarm.
And just one more question! How do I get all the door Pins working without wiring each one up separately!
Cheers

You only have to hook into the internal light circuit in one place, the alarm will receive a current change when either one of the pins is triggered by the doors opening.
My current sensing also runs from the internal light circuit (or cig lighter) because it has constant power even with ignition off, if there is a change in current the alarm senses it and starts screeching.

How do I hook up the current sensing?
My alarm has a "Current loop" at the moment, how do I hook the ciggy lighter into it? Do I just connect the power (12v) to the sensor in parallel? (At the moment the current sensing loop is just a short circuit (goes out then back in).
Cheers

If you wanted to make your way to my place some time I can have a look for you.
I have this bit of paper here that says I know something about auto electrics

Wow a piece of paper! he he, I want one!
I've almost done it all actually, the only things left are the current sensing and the C/Locking.
What sort of times are you free to give us a hand?
Also does it matter what orientation I mount the shock sensor in? (Upside down, horizontal / vertical?)
Thanks cool1 I had a feeling you'd be able to sort me out .
Cheers

I can sort you out in more ways than one The shock sensor will most likely need to be mounted in a particular way.
What times are good for you?

Well what says I bring a 6 pack (you can drink while supervising!) and point me in the right direction?
What time do you usually wake up on a weekend?

current sensing goes to the wire to the interior light. that's how the doors trigger the alarm, so make sure you have the light set to go on with open doors.
central locking all depends on the kit, my kit had the 2x5 wire and 2x2 wires on the harness plus an extra set of trigger wires to go to the alarm (all from memory,i only used the fronts and the triggers)

Why would current sensing go to the light? Current sensing is meant to detect when somebody try shorting out the system
This assuming that the alarm doesnt have voltage sensing

just splice the current sensing wire onto the internal light circuit because it has constant power from the battery it senses when the battery is being drained without the alarm having been activated because the current going to the internal light drops, even if the light isn't currently on. try it and then take the positive lead off the battery, or try to jump start someone elses car or turn your head lights on (close door with window open) or something, see if the siren sounds, your neighbours will love you.
If I can work out alarm wiring anyone can- all i am supposed to know is how to dig rocks and blow things up.
