Fuel pump for 7K in KE55 Sun, 07 July 2002 14:24 Go to next message
I am putting a 7K motor in my KE55 fastback and whilst the 7 and 4K blocks are the same I have a feeling the old mechanical fuel pump will not work on this engine. Does anybody have any pointers for wiring up and fitting a suitable (cheap) electronic fuel pump. Also, is it alright to mount them in the engine bay?

easy as. I recently bought a electric Low pressure fuel pump from Appco, about $75.
Power the red/black wire, earth the black wire. Sorted, 90litres an hour, good for 4x375cc injectors (if the psi was good).

Anyhow, they make about 1.5psi, so plenty for your 7K.
