does anyone know what the twin solexes that DON'T have the externally adjustable float bowl came from?
they have main jets of :
200 air bleed
40 main jet

1st model 2tg they had 30mm chokes and no sleeves inside the carby and no adjustable float level and also 9rg

oops, did I say 40 main jet, I meant 140.
Where did you find this out?
So these carbies must be really old hey? So why do they look newer than the 18rgu carbies we have. they are still glossy and shiny in places.
these have 32mm chokes (if by choke you mean the large venturi (the thing that screws in the middle of the throat that isn't the small venturi))
and these ones did come with sleeves.
These came with an 88210 or 88211 manifold (can't really remember), so I would assume they are from the first gen. 18rg. This manifold had water ports in it and hoses coming from the bottom of the water chambers, does anyone know where these hoses are supposed to lead to? My best guess is the thermostat housing, can anyone verify this?
Does anyone have any pics of the balance tube from the original 18rg manifold, I think it is a rubber and metal tubing afair similar to the 88220 2tg one but would like confirmation as to what emissions points it has on it.
has any one got any pics of an 88210 complete intake assembly (minus the air box, I know what they look like)

2tg had 125 and 135 main and 150 air corrector ,yours sounds like early 18rg is the inlet very short or long .could be for corona rt104 ,also std 18rg has 145 mains and 170 airs you have 18rgr which had 140 mains and 200 airs and was low comp
