If i had the cash it would have a 2j or 7m but i dont so i'll wait till i get some mega $$$ to do it properlly.
In the mean time i'll see how quick i can get the old 4m going which is about 180kmh - not bad for a corona.
And If you want my jarrah bits make em up.
My mate who is a cabienet maker made them for me. (theres also a wooden arm rest)
i wouldnt lower the corona's standards to fluffy dice

180kph? The 21R-C can push a fully loaded RA60 with two people to 175kph with the air-con on!

It will have the gearing to do 200 plus, but I doubt it would have the power. The power required to overcome wind resistance increases as a cubic function of speed, so if you were struggling to hit 180 you won't get near 200.
FWIW I wound out my Supra for the first time the other night... on a closed private road of course. I didn't quite hit redline when the intercooler hose popped off, but I saw an indicated 238km/h at the time. It was still accelerating hard at that point so I'm sure it could go much faster with taller diff gears!

It would do the 200 it needs the 5th gear because it would do 190 screaming the tits of it.
And i havent tuned the carbie and got the timing spot on yet we'll see i'll let you know.
Or if you see a strange green object in the sky you will know i hit a bump at 200

My own testing on closed private roads indicates they hit a pretty decent brick wall at around 180 kph. That grille makes for some pretty decent frontal area and a high coefficient of drag.

The old Mk2 isn't particularly aerodynamic.....you will need a lot more power/road/balls to go from 180 to 200.

like a supercharger
Gt: I have seen somewhere a turbo 5m with your name on it.
Was it a 5mte? or did you's bolt it on?
Could you bolt that head on to a 4m?
You will probably say dreaming but what is the chances of turbo/supercharging a 4m?
let me guess get a 2j.............

Nah dude, that 4M is well suited to turbocharging....just don't expect the world from a '4MTE'. As luck would have it I have a spare MTE exhaust manifold.
Grab a 5ME injection intake manifold and AFM. Get an MTE exhaust manifold. Bolt a VLT turbo on to the exhaust manifold. Make some oil feed and oil drain pipes. Run it with a 5ME ECU and you are set. The only thing you are missing is an MTE dizzy which has 15 degrees of boost retard set into it. This is the most common problem....people run them with the 5ME dizzy which will actually dial on advance as the boost kicks in. Then they wonder why the head gasket goes pop. The other grief you will have is where to mount an intercooler.
But for all the fucking around, you might as well drop in a 7MGE or a 2JZGE. Even standard ones of these will produce more power than a turboed 4/5M.

So are you coming to perth anytime soon?
How much for the MTE exaust manifold?
It would be a long way down the track project, but it would be good to collect the parts needed to do it.
