Is that the 5speed steel case box found in RA23 celica's? If so I have a box (excellent condition) + spare box $200 all up.

yes interested to guys in melbourne
condition and price
This is for a mate at work thats looking to get one. I cant remember what the T-50 looked like without its bellhousing (i only worked with the supra box) But he said the celica box without the bellhousing should have its bolts "round" the shaft, where the supra is eratic and not "round"
(If you understand the above... your better than me)
A photo of the shaft/bellhousing bolt hole possitions on a T-50 from the bellhousing end would be invaluable...

TurboCelica: I've taken a picture of the front of a T50 box with the bellhousing bolt holes just this week. I can email it to you if you give me the address....
remember that the T50 box splits in half, but the supra & steelcase celica ones dont,..... another way to tell them apart.

Quote: | By the way the difference between the T-50 in Ta22 and T-18 was the shifter position yes? the T-18 is further back? any one know aprox the difference?
|
I dont know the measurement for the TA22 T50 , but the T18 one is 490 mm (19.5") from the front of the gearbox (bellhousing flange) to the shifter.

I can't tell you the exact measurements, but I know they are different. Actually, I've got a well worn TA22 one in one of my cars I might be able to look to to be more precise. $150 for the TE71 box though (It's not a T18, but I THINK the box is identical!)

TA22 box will be best due to length... anyone else have one for sale. Thanks for the photo of the box phil, this is what he requires.
Any more T-50's for sale, he is ready to buy, altho dont think for $150 (only need a TA22 box)
