Caliper repair kit alternatives to RA23

After ringing around heaps of different places today, it someone finally told me that caliper repair kits for the RA23 are discontinued. What alternatives could I use? I said to one guy I was talking to that the ra28/40 I thought had the same brakes, but he said he had different numbers for them. Is he right? I thought at least the 28 was the same.
Thanks guys

You can get your calipers recond for fck all
they would be as good as new.
On the brake topic. I got brand new rotors for the front for $75 for the pare - thats fkn cheap. And some new pads where $50 and a wheel bearing kit with seals was $60 = $185 not bad i reckon
But i need to get some anti squeal plates because they work blddy well but they have an ear piercing squeal.

Yeah I could get them recon'd by someone else but I want to do it myself hence the point of trying to find a kit. Also, the kits where supposed to be around 20 bucks each, and I got quoted 95 each for someone else to do it cause they would have to use parts from various kits and the labour time. Hence me also wanting to do it myself

no shit
Have you done the ring around everywhere?
Someone may have it getting dusty in the store room.
When i was after my engine mounts i must have rang 50 places, i finaly found the place that can re mould them.
My only other suggestion is to see if there is another caliper that is the same/simlar and try and get that one all htough it would probalbly have the same part No anyway
hmmm i hate finding parts for the old girls

If you REALLY want one, I could most likely get you one from Finland. Still interested?

Well, they don't have any 28 or 40 kits, and you can't buy brand new calipers for it either. Looks like next stop is wreckers, although I've had no luck before with wreckers having this vintage celica in perth. Does anyone in perth know of any wreckers that stock old celica's, specifically 23/28/40?
