Just out of curiosity - why convert a 2jz to a 1jz?
Good luck with the sale!

What year model
So, it was an NA and its had a 1JZGTE twin turbo 2.5 conversion (was previously 2JZGE)
Forgive me if i am wrong, but i believe that 2J means 2 turbos.
Is the new engine single turbo or twin turbo? 3 litre or 2.5 as it sais above?
Is it a completely new engine? Its pretty hard to convert a 3 litre engine to a 2.5 litre engine unless you actually drop a new engine in.
If you did drop a new engine, what year model supra was it from?

I'm not sure of the year, but yes it has had a total engine conversion, to a 1jz-gte, which came out around 91 in chasers/soarers/supras. It's an awesome engine.
The 2jz had two turbos, but that's not what the 2 in 2jz stands for, that's the engine generation, the 1jz being it's younger brother basically.
The 2jz-GTE and 1jz-gte are both twin turbo, but the 1jz is 2.5 litre.
This isn't my car or anything, but i hope that helps.

Thanks Ess..
Yes it was previously a 2JZGE (3ltr 6 cyl NON TURBO) and has had a 1JZGTE (2.5 6cyl TWIN TURBO) conversion. The engine came from a JZA70 Supra (mk3 with 1JZGTE).
As Esselte said, 2J does not mean 2 turbos. thats just the engine family ... its all explained here:

I think the ADR's require that a car not be fitted with an engine older than the chassis. Does this car comply?
Looks beautiful, supras are the sweetest shape...
