I think it is, I measured (and bought) both a RA25 and RN27 axle and found that they are the same width.

Me too hopefully. Still need to find LSD. Are you planning disk swap. I plan to get Saab rear calipers and maybe Supra disks. Saab calipers are REALLY strong and comes with hand-brake. I think that Supra disk are overkill but looks best so far. Any better ideas???

I dont fancy internal brake drum. Saab calipers are reputable.
I dont mind much about looks but engineer wants to see rear disk swaps. I cant get why? Rear disks wouldn't show much behind my fully non-sik steel rims anyway Very Happy .

I get some shudders about costs of full Supra rear brakes.

Ok! Just came back and I did get some mesurements. But first heres some pics...

http://www.saab9000.com/procedures/braking/images/caliper5.jpg
http://www.saab9000.com/procedures/braking/images/caliper4.jpg

I found these from here...
http://www.saab9000.com/procedures/braking/rearpad s.html

I got these measurements in hurry. The caliper is rather slim width wise so 30mm offset for disk would be plenty. 70mm bolt spacing and 30mm from middle of disk to outest part of caliper. Vented disk should go in, at least it look so. These are coarse measurements and you probably didnt understand anything because my lousy english Laughing . I'm convinced that these would be best in my case so I will buy these calipers next week and send exact measurements.

Original Saab disk measurements...
Type: Solid
Diameter: 258mm
Height: 43mm
Thickness: 9mm
Center hole: 68
PCD: 4x114.3
Models: All 9000 series, 900 series from -88 onwards and some
-87 models

spelling[/edit]

BTW. look MX83 9/88 - 8/90 front disks from DBA catalog.

a lot , disks are the same as celica( i gather your putting it into a celica) so you can use the skyline dics , and there is a dude in syd making up adaption plates for the calipers to the diff for 80 bucks , alot easer id say

Whats wrong with Saab caliper? Saab calipers are strong and have very grippy handbrake. Also can be found everywhere unlike Supra and Skyline brakes at least here.
