4A-GZE/AE86 Where do you mount the coil packs? Mon, 08 July 2002 23:16 Go to next message
I'm curious as to where people mount their coil packs, a common place seems to be where the A/C pipes would come out from the dash.

I'd go all for this except that I'm running a turbo, so having the coil pack sitting behind the down pipe isn't a particularly good idea (unless someone begs to differ). I've also noticed that the stock leads are really short, what brands are there that make good aftermarket ones?

Other options off the top of my head for mounting are...

on the block like Anthony Pedwell
along the firewall directly above the block

Cheers

anywhere you can find space on the firewall is good.
