Have a 5 speed so it's a w5? alloy case so it's not a 55, is behind a 18rg, unsure of car of origin. Are there any markings on the box to identify which one it is?

W50 is steel case celica 5 speed
W55/57/58/59 is alloy case, also called "supra" boxes.
I have not seen any printed markings to identify which supra box is which, but the sandwich plate is alloy on some, and steel on others.... I know W55 is definately alloy, and if its behind an 18RG, then a W55 is the most likely answer.

Steel tends to rust a bit with time....so if the sandwhich plate is a little rusty, then its probably a w58
no marks on the box

So, w50 = steel case, w55 alloycase/sandwich plate, w58 = alloycase/steel sandwich plate.
Thanks to all
