I've been saved. A mate of mine knows some guy that rewires porsches. as in rewiring the heavy metal wiring with lighter wires which still do the same job. Seemingly hes done a fair few of these. i'm not sure about who would ever want their porsche rewired Rolling Eyes. anyway if u guys ever want auto elec work or a $500 mongoose pager car alarm fitted WITH waranty. give me a holler Very Happy

running 60 degres advance =runs fine... but bubbly n rough
10-15 degress.= backfires. not a very nice sight or sound.
guys at toyospares told me n i saw for myself.

its got a 4age 16v 86kw in it.

if its definately not wiring/loom. i may as well put a new engine in it and start fresh

Can't see the relevance to wiring looms, I'd be looking at the cam timing first.

do 4age's have timing belts or chain? it sounds like a possible slip in cam timing. An engine will not run fin if it has 60 degrees of timing at idle if it will run at all
