G'day everyone, as Rod said, if anyone has any suggestions for destinations let me know, I'm very keen to get planning for the next cruise underway.
I just hope I can do as good a job as the board members we have do, thanks for your support guys.

Also, as it gets back into summer, I reckon I'll be keen to revive the weekly cruises, I've been through 2 summers with no car on the road, so I'm hanging for this one.

I think a long weekend trip up to Port Macquarie. Stay there Saturday night. Very nice up there. Long drive on the freeway is always good too.
Could start in Syd and meet the Central Coast and Newcastle people on the way.

with enough notice i'd be in for that... miss the road trips. And a small town other than newcastle and wollongong is always fun to hoon around for a weekend. They don't know what hit them

i would soooooooo totally be up for a cruise to ballina!
ive done that drive about 6 times now, and i can say its gotta be the best drive come summertime.. nice and warm and plenty of stop-off places to crash a night and get boozed up!
PLUS!! ballina- not far from Byron= sex & drugs! haha
well if someone wants to do a cruise that far id be in for it! else the port macquarie idea is tops! book out the caravan park for a night or two and smash it up at the HOTEL!!

I am definately up for a weekend get away up north!!!! Kinda getitn tired of driving south for all croozes etc! hint hint bigworm ! 
Something that doesnt cost the bloody earth, where we can crooz around, crash at a caravan park, meet all the locals with their 6 fingers and 4 toes, get trashed at a local pub, then come home all ready and revived for the upcoming week!

Up here the 'street-car scene' is based in Lismore - very much like Woodville Rd or North Parramatta Maccas on Thursday nights. I don't think it gets quite that rowdy up here. Still plenty to look at, cars in Lismore, babes in Ballina and even hotter ones in Byron.
They've improved the road heaps up here since this time last year. I can do the F3 and up to Ballina with 2-3 stops in just on 8 hours, 9 if you wanna sight-see or fit-fart around.
Some ideas to kick around if y'all ever inclined to venture this way...

im liking all the ideas being trown around here!!
personally myself... i think that for a long weekend it should only be up to port maquarie, since then you dont lose so most of a day just in driving.
I went up there after chrissy last year, stayed at the local caravan park in the centre of town and got well boozed during the LOOONG nights. And yes there is a bit of a car scene up there! so we could certainly join in...
its also cheap, nice girls (lots of em), young crowds, fairly laid back, and not tooo far from old sydney town!
i rekon its a goer for the october long weekend myself!

I reckon a cruise up the coast is a great idea, but I reckon we plan it for either november/early december, or save it for the new year......
If someone can scout out some potential motel/hotel/caravan parks, we can get things rolling.

i forget the name of the particular caravan park in Port Mac... but its the one RIGHT ON the breakwall, and its pretty cheap, has powered and non-powered sites, REAL close to the pubs and is generally pretty cool!
i really want to see this happen so lets get some interest going hey?

also up at the hunter i know of the best dirt track, twists up a hill side and got the best hand break turn corner on it very nice  but i have another idea which is way away from what has been spoken about so far and that is organise like a corperate day at eastern creek karting raceway as i'm sure you would get enough numbers to do it and all day racing neck to neck in go karts would be great. they also supply lunch and everything

Go the KARTZ!!! That's not such a bad idea either - my sister's house is in Minchinbury so it's right next door to the Creek. Line up all the attending cars in the carpark for a photo shoot and then onto the serious bizz of kicking arse around the track!
Does anyone remember Village Raceway in Prospect?? I was so sorry to see that place vanish... there was only two of those locations in the world, and when it was there I was privileged to live near one of them, considering the other was located in Hawaii.
I don't think I've been Kart Racing seriously since, and that was well over 10 years ago. Fark, long time between drinks.
If you guys can't make it up here, I may as well see if I can get down there, so I'm up for it - anyone else?
