dont be concerned about this tall/short block bullshit, we only got the 1 block. I have my 22r in my hilux(carb), 1 from a corona(tccs) and 1 from a celica(analog) and there all the same.
Its only in yanky land there was 2 different blocks. About your gearbox it will be a w55 your after(from memory)

I've got a gearbox from a Celica & 22R-E. I think its a W57 gearbox (its not a W58).
$250, and its in Mittagong.

What model celica is it? Condition of gearbox? and wheres Mittagong?

when i say "thats what you want" i really mean thats probably whats in it. You can bolt w55, w57, w58 inplace(thats if it is the right box, clarify it first as i cannot tell over the internet what box you got) Can you take a digi pic of the box 1st?

The condition of the gearbox is good (to look at).
I bought a celica shell, pulled the engine out for my GFs Corona, and that is still going strong a year later, so am expecting the gearbox to be good. Never had it running.
Mittagong is down the highway towards ... goulburn, canberra, snow, melbourne, etc.
I live near Padstow, and its 50 mins from my place.
$250.
