Hey all, Just wondering if someone could help me out, thanks.
its an Ultra Lite Auto meter one, all i sorta need help with is the 'Violet' wire. It reads
Violet Wire: Connect to oxygen sensor signal wire. Connect to vehicle wiring harness, not oxygen sensor since some oxygen sensors used shielded wire.

im hooking it up to a 4agze by the way, ae92 model, shouldn't be too hard?
someone help please, thanks.

if u have the wiring diagrams or pin outs for yr engine

its the OX wire its black and it comes form the oxygen sensor

just remember these air fuel ratio gauges only work accurately for idle and jusot off idle sort of cruise

half the time ive noticed them go fully one way then the other just by slight touch of the throttle

the proper gauges used for tuning are worth about 2000 dollars so i dont know why people goto the hassle of buying 100 dollars ones

yup, have seen a commercial NB LED type gauge flick from one side to the other every one or two seconds as the ECU mucks about with the cruise AFR. got very distracting at first and then very annoying you could probably set it up like NightRider scanner on the front of the car go Kit!!!!!

ps, theres also a $15 kit from jaycar that does the same thing, but not as pretty..

or ypu could get a tech edge DIY-WB kit and sensor (using the LSU-4 Bosch)
that will set you back about $500 if you solder it up yourself...
pre-made commercial UEGO's are wayy exxy, and even then may not be absolutely correct..

best way is to get the car run on a dyno with a an air/fuel mixture readout, just like the one used at Premier Autocentre where we do our dyno days.

What sideshow said is 100% true. 99.99% of oxygen sensors (or EGO sensors) on cars read three levels - rich, balanced and lean. Only the super duper expensive ones like those used on the dynos give a pure graphed readout.

To me the only air/fuel metering i would want (if i wanted one) is the simple $20 kit Jaycar has with the LED output. It just lets you know if you are reading rich, lean or balanced. Simple.

I dont know why i bother asking on here any more, if you dont know how to do it please dont reply, easy!

I dont care about other kits, i have bought this one and it will do for the time being, and so what about night rider and kit, that got anything to do with installing a air/fuel ratio? no

>end rant<

thanks side show. so thats all i gotta do is tape it in to that single wire?

vilot goes to the oxygen sensor wire wich can be found on the oxgen sensor (there may be 2 ox wired if one is shealided then dont breake the sheilding use the other one).... look on the manafold of tha motor... then the red is the ignition wire and black is ground make sure u get a good ground though otherwise ur read out wont be as accurate....
happy now twincam????

if not get a wiring diagram for the ecu and then look for the o2 wire!!!! not very hard.

Although I really reckon that putting one of those gauges on a 4AGZE is a bit like an altimeter on a sinking ship You already know it runs horrendously rich at full throttle Also, where's the WB kit availble from? Sounds interesting...
