What do you mean by strange,
Does it feel spongy, or stop quicker than usual or what?

maybe the difference is in the tyres that are on the car with comparison to the old ones, quality may play a part, or maybe its always been there and you have become more aware cause you have made some changes???? all possible Smile

perhaps the disks/front pads are nearing end-of-life?
or the rear drums (or rear disks) are doing similar thing (e.g. metal on metal)?
are you pushing pedal down further than usual or before? and how old are brake pads?
ride may also be a factor - the factory 14" might have hidden road feel, and the 17" let all the bumps/ridges feed back thru the brake hydraulics?

Possibly the huge upgrade in rim size has suddenly increased weight
hence the rims have alot more momentum.....which may affect how the brakes feel

does this make sense ?
