Hey guys,

Best mate has just bought a GZ20 Soarer and got it today. He needs to know how to use the cruise control, he's got a couple of the buttons worked out but the manual is all in Japanese.

Does anyone have a translated copy of the manual? Failing that, can anyone tell us how to use it!?

Thanks,
Nathan

Word up to that dude!

The cruise lever seems to have 5 different things it can do,

http://home.iprimus.com.au/jonesmob/soarer/cruise.jpg

So far I've found:
Switch on the dash enables/disabled cruise mode,
Pushing the lever down while driving sets the cruise speed and activates cruise,
Holding the lever up increases the cruise speed,
Pulling back on the lever deactivates cruise.

I can't seem to get the lever to do much else, like temporarily deactivating cruise or re-activating cruise after having previously set the speed.

OK it's all sorted.

Dash cruise Button simply makes the cruise control lever effective.

When active (speed is set and maintained)
Holding lever up increases speed, releasing the lever re-engages the cruise at the higher speed.
Holding down temorarily disenagages cruise, slowing the car, releasing the lever re-engages the cruise at the lower speed.
Pulling back deactivates cruise.

When inactive:
Pushing down sets cruise speed and engages cruise.
